What’s this Bravo Academy all About? An Insider Look.

Whether you’re a new or seasoned Bravo customer, you’ve probably heard about the many support features Bravo has to offer to help you become an expert Bravo user. But where do you start and why? The answer: Bravo Academy. We sat down with our Academy instructors to get all the details on this essential tool and we’re going to share their insights and insider tips with you to show you why this is the best place to start.

First, if you want to get the most out of Bravo, think of the Bravo Academy as your compass. Dawn Chavez, a Bravo Academy instructor, says that many users skip the Bravo Academy training because they think they already know all the basics. While Bravo may be super user-friendly, Chavez points out, “It is so comprehensive and robust” it’s easy to miss things that may simplify your job when you dive right in without a little guidance.

So, what do these lessons look like? Currently, there are three levels available: level 1, level 2, and reporting. Each level consists of a series of 6-9 emails with “bite sized chunks of information,” as our other Bravo Academy instructor Jon Kelly puts it. Each email focuses on one key process in Bravo and includes step-by-step instructions for users to learn how to perform that specific task. There are screenshots to make it easy to follow and links to the Solution Center for more information if needed. Lessons aren’t required to be completed by a certain day or time, so users can complete them on their own schedule.

To complement the teachings in the Bravo Academy, there are corresponding webinars taught by Bravo instructors. The webinars are live, giving you the opportunity to interact directly with the Bravo instructors. And if you’re reluctant to ask a question during the class, don’t worry, Chavez says, “I try to answer as many unasked questions as possible by providing links and showing the users how to access information in the Solution Center.” You also have the opportunity to continue to ask questions after the webinar is done by contacting the instructor directly. Think of it as you’re ‘man on the inside’—another avenue to talk out a problem outside the customer support line.

Finally, the last stop on your online support journey: The Solution Center. The Solution Center is an extensive library with over 600+ articles and videos on any and all topics you could want additional information on in Bravo.

Our instructors are very proud of how this online learning ecosystem has come together. Chavez says, “Having the webinars match to the Bravo Academy lessons match to the new layout of the Solution Center means that a customer can get the basic information from the webinar, expand on their knowledge with the Bravo Academy emails, and really learn everything they can with the Solution Center without overwhelming them with unnecessary knowledge.” It’s something Bravo has worked hard to cultivate over the years and will only continue to grow and refine. In the future, you can expect the Bravo Academy to add more specialized lessons and webinars around topics users need most, like eCommerce, digital marketing and more, with webinars and Solution Center content to go right along with it.

So, if our trusty instructors could only talk you into taking one training, what would it be? Chavez says level 1 for sure. “Level 1 is definitely the one that covers all of the basics, and everyone needs to start here.” Kelly gets even more specific. “The most important singular training is the one about closing the store. Not closing the store correctly can lead to all kinds of problems. This is something everyone should know.” But whether you decide to take one or all trainings in the Academy, both instructors agree they want you to walk away with a “confidence in your own knowledge and ability, as well as a sense of certainty that we can provide reliable and knowledgeable service if you ever have questions.”
