Using SMS Text Messaging for Holiday Promotions

This holiday season, a great opportunity to bring in more store traffic and show appreciation to past customers is by sending out a promotional text message.

With Bravo, it’s super simple to find your active customers and those with text messaging enabled in order to send them holiday discount texts.

For example, you can easily search and generate a list of customers that were last in your store between certain dates and show only those with SMS enabled.

  • Go to Customer Management
  • Select Ad Hoc Reporting
  • Create your unique list by adding specific criteria’s (For example: the criteria “Last Time In” would allow you to find the customers who’ve recently visited and you could select a date range like the past year)
  • Click OK

Now, filter out the customers that do not have SMS efilter_sms.pngnabled:

  • Click the funnel next to SMS in the columns
  • Check the box next to SMS

Highlight the customers with SMS enabled by holding SHIFT while clicking the first and last customer on the list. Then click Send SMS Message in the right hand column.

Choose your Event Date & Time (when the text will be sent), create your message, and then click Send!

Tip: Be sure to include your promotion specifics like the actual discount off, any exclusions, a call to action, and expiration date.
